PGCBM (Postgraduate Certificate Program in Business Management) through XIMB
Introduction
XIMB launched the postgraduate certificate programme in 2005. It utilizes advances in videoconferencing technology to reach working executives across India. This technology enables classroom-like interactions between instructors and learners and between learners in different locations. This results in a highly interactive mode of learning that draws from the wealth of knowledge of the faculty and other resources of the institute and the diversity of learners spread across the country.
It is a 1 year programme with class timings that are convenient for the working executive. Apart from 240 hrs of interactive classrooms via video-conferencing, the programme also has a 8-day residential programme at the XIM campus at Bhubaneswar where intensive learning of certain components is facilitated.
Eligibility
A three year Bachelor Degree (or Equivalent) in any discipline
At least two years of work experience

Pedagogy
The course is conducted over Video conferencing. XIM-B professors teach from the studios of NIS L.I.V.E, while the lectures are received by students at NIS L.I.V.E centers located across the country. Student and faculty are able to see and hear each other. Students can raise query alerts at any time during the class using their personal responder, a small remote given to them for the duration of the course. At suitable intervals faculty responds to these query alerts and also commence free flow discussions. Students can retract their query alerts at any time using their personal responder, should they feel that their query is resolved, as part of other classroom discussions. Students can also signal the Faculty to Go-Slow or Go-Fast. Student attendance and progress reports are maintained and available at all times.

Programme Fee
Rs 1,58,500/- payable as per the installment pattern given below:
1st Installment
Rs.45,500 – At the time of acceptance of admission offer, in favor of NIS Sparta Ltd.
2nd Installment
Rs. 33,750– By the 10th day of third month of the programme, in favor of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar
3rd Installment
Rs. 33,750– By the 10th day of fifth month of the programme, in favor of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar
4th Installment
Rs 45,500 – By the 10th day of seventh month of the programme, in favor of NIS Sparta Ltd.
The fee includes the boarding and lodging expenses of the students for their on campus stay at XIMB. The students would have to bear their travel/transportation expenses for this on-campus program.
